sachavonkarl74 Croatian one-man project of melodic black metal which was allegedly formed in Arezzo, Italy. Doesn't matter much, it's a pleasant album with nice melodies and a good vocal performance, though the whole writing is a bit weird, like all songs starting with "the"... in any case, not a masterpiece but I really dig the Dark Funeral reference, and the cover with the bluish ritual scene is great. Favorite track: The Ritual.

Frosty Bear Maybe some will regard the length (32 minutes) as a criticism, but it works perfectly here. Sure, it could qualify as an EP, but I don’t want or need a 60 minute bloated black metal album. Lay down your best material, and if 32 minutes is all you have then that’s what you have (Slayer only needed not even 30 for Reign in Blood). Front to back, the album easily flows from one solid melodic black metal track to the next. Favorite track: The Repentance.

DeadEndKing The Ritual gives me the same feeling I had when hearing Dissection and Watain for the first time. Production and musicianship are a big step up from Night of Whispering Souls, too. Solid album all the way through. I've had "The Ritual" and "The Vengeance" on repeat all night \m/ Favorite track: The Ritual.
